tony sly - 12 song program

Tony Sly as I suppose most should know, for over 20 years been the frontman and primary songwriter of melodic punk bands most respected and talented as it is No Use For A Name, but his talent is not restricted only to create powerful and fast melodies with socially conscious as it has throughout its NUFAN career, and this fact shows now, through His first full album solo, entitled "12 song program", an album which, as its name suggests, contains 12 songs recorded primarily with acoustic guitars and arrangements more reminiscent of bands like The Pogues, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, David Bowie or something, but that a band of punk rock or as if it were an unplugged album NUFAN, according to the same Tony Sly, for this album put aside their influences from Bad Religion and other punk bands, to focus more on his musical roots before be a punk musician, basically in the artists who influenced him to become a musician, ... for this album, Sly enlisted the help of friends from bands like Fat Mike (NOFX), Darius Koski (Swingin'Utters), Joey Cape (Lagwagon) and Karina Deniker (Dance Hall Crashers), who contributed to the realization of several songs, ... the style is similar to that performed acoustic split in 2004 with Joey Cape (Lagwagon), in which everyone participated with 6 acoustic versions of tracks from their respective bands, only now it is original material, ... personally, I think she has some good songs, but offers nothing that people have not done before as Joey Cape, Jon Snodgrass, Chad Price, Justin Sane and a long list Vocal punk band that have released discs.
